Somerset Coronavirus

Response & Recovery Fund

A Short Update

Good afternoon,

I hope you are well.

You’re receiving this email because we awarded you one of 150 coronavirus response grants that have been distributed over the last ten weeks.

You’ve been doing astonishing things during that time, supporting people who have become vulnerable as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

At Somerset Community Foundation we’re extremely proud of your efforts and we’re working hard to raise funds for the next 6 – 12 months.

Your grant was made from the Somerset Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund. It was made possible due to local donations to theSomerset Coronavirus Appeal alongside money from the National Emergencies Trust.

In order for us to continue to raise money from these sources it’s really important that you acknowledge our grant, if you are able.

To make that easier, we’re sharing this image, which contains both our logo and the National Emergencies Trust logo. If possible, please add this to your website, social media channels, or any printed materials you produce.

The Somerset Coronavirus Response and Recovery Fund will continue to award grants for emergency responses throughout June. However, our focus from this point is to fill gaps left in the county’s coronavirus response.

During June we are also planning for the next phase of the Fund. We may still support emergency responses similar to those we have supported so far. But we are also starting to think about the next 6 – 12 months.

As a result, we expect to start funding projects that can continue to support the most vulnerable in our communities over the coming year. We also expect to be able to support organisations that have lost income from other sources.

Further updates will be available from our website towards the end of the month.

Thank you again for all your hard work.

Val, Andy, Kirsty and Pete
